Mr. Carlson came to Eisenhower in 2009, following assistant principalships at both Jefferson High School and Flinn Middle School.  

Following his graduation from Northern Illinois University and starting his career in education, Mr. Carlson taught at Woodland Middle School in Gurnee and Hiawatha Jr/Sr High School in Kirkland.  

Mr. Carlson values the importance of building relationships with students, parents, and staff to foster academic achievement and success.

Mr. Carlson grew up in Rockford, where he attended Eisenhower Middle School and is a Guilford High School graduate. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, preferably around a bonfire or playing bags. He also enjoys playing golf or softball when he's able.
